OBSERVATORIO ASTRONOMICO GUATEMALA
The Guatemalan Astronomical Observatory (OAG ) schematic design seeks to inspire both visitors and user alike by providing an understanding of the evolution of our knowledge of the Cosmos and human history across space and time.
OBSERVATION DECK
OAG's envisions an observation deck open to the public where academic, scientific and tecnological exhibits will be showcased, within a 360-degree observation platform.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
The creation of the OAG will drive support towards the creation of a Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) focused knowledge framework to be utilized as a bridge between private and public industry and entrepreneurs.
AUDITORIUM
Will serve as a gathering space both for the public and working scientists to promote, divulge and debate scientific endevours conducted within OAG.

AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH
OAG's ground level will be home of agricultural research facilities incluiding, hydroponic research, seed harvesting and collection, and space agriculture research lab.
CENOTE
At the heart of OAG's building lies a reflective pool of water, or cenote, that harvests rainwater for building and agricultural reuse as well as studying rainfall and climatic pattern changes.

TELESCOPE
Given OAG's advantageous geografical location and elevation in the northern hemisphere, its telescope has the oportunity to capture over 95% of all known constellations.
